This game is Japanese but is language-independent and English rules are provided as PDF's if they are not within the box.
“Ninja Tricks” is a trick-taking game featuring a special “must-not-follow” rule: you may not play a card of the same suit as any suit that has already been played in the current trick. The goal of the game is to have the highest total score at the end of all rounds.
Cards that lose a trick become Scroll Cards, which you can use in future tricks. If you collect enough Scroll Cards before winning a trick, you can score a large number of points.
Be careful not to be disrupted by other players’ trump “10” cards. Since ties in number (strength) are broken in favor of the later-played card, the chance of being blocked is high. If you can slip past your opponents’ interference and make good use of your Scroll Cards, you’ll be one step closer to victory.
The rules are unusual, but very simple. Be sure to try this fresh twist on the classic trick-taking game!
