—Startup sequence complete. Beginning navigation.— Nice to meet you. You must be the newly appointed director of this space station. Your mission is to produce stardust, a valuable resource, from your home planet; construct resource-conversion devices; and develop this facility faster than the other stations. However, please be aware: in the harsh environment of space, only two constructed devices can be operated at a time. This is a Dominion-style deck-building game where each card has two different ways to be used. The first way is the same as in many other games: play the card vertically to produce resources. There are two types of resources, or stardust: red and blue. There are some things that can only be done with blue stardust. Different cards produce different amounts of stardust, but there are no effects like drawing cards or spreading curses to other players. The resources you produce are used to buy stronger cards or to turn cards sideways. The other way to use a card is: play it sideways to gain a special ability. When you play a card sideways as a field card, the ability shown on that card activates every turn. These effects include things like converting resources, producing resources, and increasing or decreasing your hand size. Combining these two types of effects, producing resources efficiently, and acquiring powerful cards is the basic flow of the game.
