Slay the SPINE (IMPORT)
£26.00
In this game, enemies don't disappear when you defeat them; while you can end the battle and acquire a card by eliminating all of them, they all revive and one more appears each time you fight. Battles involve defeating groups of enemies lined up in a row, always starting from the front. This might resemble a tower defense game.
As you gain more enemies, the number of cards in your deck also increases. Every card has a powerful ability text that lasts from the moment it enters the battlefield until the end of combat, in addition to the numerical value used in combat. Of course, this effect doesn't activate until you use it. This is the most strategic point! You want to use cards with powerful long-term effects as soon as possible, but if you use too many cards on the first enemy just for their abilities, you won't have any cards left to use in combat with the remaining enemies. You'll be left defenseless and constantly being attacked, even if you have various abilities, and you'll die very quickly. Even if you gain an ability that "doubles the value of a card" as a result of various synergies, it's useless if you have no more cards to use. Consider which cards to use on whom, taking into account the combat values, abilities, and the order of the enemies, and find a balance between scaling and making temporary compromises.
The number of enemies increases, but their order remains the same. Add new cards to your deck and repeatedly consider the order and types of cards you use to gain an advantage over before, optimizing your strategy. Once you've fully grasped the characteristics of your deck through battles with weaker enemies and built synergies, the boss battle will begin.
The boss battle changes the rules from before; there are only three enemies, but you can no longer use cards freely. The cards in your deck are arranged randomly in a horizontal row, and you can only use cards from the right or left end. Will you be able to unleash the strongest synergy you've built? If not, can you find a way to overcome the challenge with the current card arrangement?
All effects, including enemy abilities and attacks, take on significantly different meanings depending on the order of the weaker enemies and the order of cards in your hand during boss battles. This means that even though the card text remains the same, the actual effect of the cards—or rather, their influence on the situation and their value—changes completely with each playthrough. There are no strong or weak enemies, no strong or weak cards. The situation, the choices you make, and the timing of your encounters will ultimately create value.
Enjoy the ingenious design that incorporates nearly 80 life points, various stats, and effect representations into a minimalist design that uses nothing but 32 cards. Of course, we don't use two cards shifted by 1mm each to manage 80 numerical levels.
Ah, I don't want to work anymore, and I hope it sells a lot!!! It's so much fun.
